Tiara Safic-Martin

is a Bosnian American artist who specializes in watercolor, acrylic, and pen landscapes.  She has showcased her work in group exhibitions in the US and in Bosnia, has participated in several art festivals, and enjoys live painting at events.  She loves traveling and uses her adventures as inspiration for art pieces whenever possible.  Through her paintings, she hopes to reawaken the lost daydreamer in all of us.

My paintings are a reflection of the world as I see it, with my favorite bits exaggerated - a magical place that exists only in my mind; a place where I can escape and call home.

My works are based on landscapes that I’ve seen or visited. I like to use vibrant colors, and expressive brushstrokes to capture the movement and feeling in a landscape, while working quickly, without a set plan in mind. I find that’s the best way to translate my emotions into my paintings.

For me, it’s about more than just capturing a moment and preserving it.  It’s also about reconnecting with my inner daydreamer.  Every brush stroke celebrates the movements of wind and water, and the colors of clouds and earth.  I want my audience to look at my paintings and remember what it was like to dream…
